1st Camping trip this summer to get closer to Acadia

We went on our first camping trip this year. It was the first time  Smith Nation ever camped on the ocean. It was so nice to wake up to the ocean .  We wanted to be able to hike and Acadia provides great trails so we camped on Somes Sound

First day camping we hiked Ship Harbor Trail.  It's a easy 1.3 mile trail.

This was one of our first pit stops for the kids.  They found shells, flowers, threw rocks , dipped their toes in ocean and ate sea pea's.

This would be a great place to pack a picnic and spend the  whole day exploring
